As a Security Officer Visitor Checkpoint in Oakdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of security-related operations at the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, observing for conditions that could impact operations, personnel, and/or property.
- Support receiving, shipping, and/or delivery access procedures for a food and beverage location while helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly traffic flow.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
