As a Security Professional - Utility Patrol Rounds in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to support a calm and orderly atmosphere, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the protection of people and property.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor the premises for any unusual activity or security-related concerns, reporting findings as required by site protocols.
• Assist with access control procedures for personnel, visitors, and vehicles as outlined by location requirements.
• Document and communicate observations, incidents, and/or any maintenance issues encountered during patrols according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to address security-related needs specific to the utilities environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
