Security Officer Part Time

In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access expectations, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unauthorized activity, hazardous conditions, and/or maintenance concerns at the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support security-related operations in a chemical and petrochemical environment by observing for restricted area violations, vehicle and pedestrian traffic concerns, and/or conditions that may require prompt notification to site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
