Security Officer Access Control / Driver Job in Ontario, California

As a Security Officer Access Control / Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service. You will help maintain a professional, secure environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and integrity-driven teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with directing deliveries and personnel to appropriate locations.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document relevant details.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, employee entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, unusual conditions, and policy concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
