Security Officer Access Control Job in Ontario, California

As a Security Officer Access Control in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points at a retail distribution location; verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and complete required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, the business, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, drivers, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control concerns, incidents, and operational needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
