Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail

- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an armed post assignment.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access activity and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site requirements, and applicable laws while maintaining professionalism during public interactions and routine patrol activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- This is primarily a driving post.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
