As a Security Officer Residential Community in Orange, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support residents, guests, and staff with professional customer service. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and clear communication to help discourage security-related incidents. - Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or vendor credentials, manage guest access logs, and help to deter unauthorized access within the residential location.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
- Support front entrance and lobby operations by assisting with deliveries, directing visitors, and maintaining awareness of property rules and access procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
