As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment for all. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate vehicles as part of your daily responsibilities. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and embody our values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity through visible presence and thorough monitoring of entry and exit points.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions or information as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities by following location-specific guidelines and communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
