Security Officer Checkpoint Verifier

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Verifier in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help screen visitors and staff, monitor entry points, and support access procedures with strong communication and customer service. In this people-first role, you will represent a caring, reliable team while helping promote a secure environment through professionalism, integrity, and attention to security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal items in accordance with location policies, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related observations and/or interactions.
- Monitor entry points, verify identification or appointments as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up or assistance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
