Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization Desk Job in Orlando, Florida

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization Desk in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and respond to access-related alarms. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and vendors, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
- Observe inbound and outbound traffic at employee entrances, visitor areas, and shipping and receiving access points; report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading dock areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
