Security Officer Screening Specialist

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and staff, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, reliable approach that reflects our agile and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening visitors and staff, and supporting access control measures at a government services location.
- Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or appointments, and help to deter unauthorized access through professional screening practices.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site procedures.
- Communicate with the public, employees, and/or site representatives in a courteous manner while addressing questions, directing foot traffic, and supporting orderly operations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
