Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control in Ottawa, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry and exit points and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and/or exit.
• Assist with security-related procedures as outlined in site-specific policies and protocols for a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Provide customer service by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors at access control points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including facilitating evacuations and assisting first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
