Security Officer Full Time Hospital Deescalation Patrol Job in Overland Park, Kansas

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Deescalation Patrol in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while responding to routine needs and assisting staff, visitors, and patients. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of healthcare facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or interactions accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
