As a Armed Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Clearance Eligible in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate activity logs in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and public authorities as needed.
- Maintain required armed post equipment and documentation in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
- Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
