Security Officer Full Time Access Alarm Patrol Job in Palo Alto, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Alarm Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an innovative technology research location. Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols at a technology research location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, research areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and/or facility concerns.
- Document patrol activity and security-related incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated client contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
