Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence Job in Palo Alto, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, observation, and professional interactions. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
