As a Security Officer Patrol and Reporting in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter spaces to help identify unauthorized activity, property issues, and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to post orders.
- Support daily property operations by communicating with building management and/or emergency responders as needed, completing required logs and reports, and following established protocols for after-hours activity and incident response.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
