As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Parma, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations to help create a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations while reflecting our core values of agility, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and logging entries and exits as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with visitor and contractor management, including checking identification and issuing access credentials in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, including perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with directions and information related to access control procedures.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and communicating important information to relevant parties.
  • Complete required documentation and logs accurately, maintaining records of activities, incidents, and security-related events as required by Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
