Hospital Security Officer (Part Time) Job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate clearly with the team. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus resources and/or emergency personnel.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, documenting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in clear and timely reports.
- Support a welcoming campus environment by providing directions, answering routine questions, and maintaining professional communication with the campus community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
