Security Officer - Education Patrols

As a Security Officer - Armed Education Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment at an education-focused location. You will conduct armed patrols of the premises, remain visible to help deter unwanted activities, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strong communication with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
• Maintain a visible presence to assist community members and promote a secure environment within the educational location.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and local law enforcement when needed to address security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
