Security Officer - Education Patrols

As a Security Officer - Education Patrols Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents through visible patrols and attentive monitoring at an educational location. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a strong presence to help foster a secure environment, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment within an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any unusual activity or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist students, faculty, and visitors by providing information and support with security-related matters as required.
• Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities as directed during incidents and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for extended periods is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
