Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As a Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in higher education and commercial settings. You will conduct routine bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, residents, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public spaces, buildings, streetscapes, parking areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and report unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring access points, maintaining awareness of assigned areas, and addressing policy concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications for Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
