As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting access control, and greeting individuals in a professional and caring manner. You will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, assisting with badge verification, and supporting a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors within the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the premises to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items, maintaining awareness of healthcare regulations and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare staff as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify potential hazards, with sensitivity to the healthcare environment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders to support a secure environment within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
