As a Security Officer - Utilities Front Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a leading utilities location, you will be the first point of contact, providing a welcoming presence and assisting visitors and employees with access control and badge procedures. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentive customer service and communication skills, all while upholding the high standards of Allied Universal. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and issuing badges as required.
  • Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site instructions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with client representatives, facility staff, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and occurrences.
  • Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established procedures, including alerting appropriate personnel and providing information as needed.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities through written and/or electronic means as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
