As a Security Officer Unarmed Deterrence Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution where you will monitor and patrol gallery and public areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to guests and staff. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming location through strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity while responding to routine site needs with a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, assist with directing foot traffic, and support orderly entry and exit procedures during daily operations, exhibitions, and/or special events.
- Help to protect artwork-adjacent areas, restricted spaces, and other sensitive locations by observing visitor behavior, reporting policy violations, and following post orders for security-related responses.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
