Security Officer - School Campus Patrols

As a Security Officer - School Campus Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas at an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment, as you engage with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to any situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe for and report irregularities, such as security-related breaches, hazards, and/or unusual behavior within the educational environment.
• Work collaboratively with students, staff, and visitors to provide guidance and information as needed.
• Document security-related incidents and daily activities in a clear and timely manner.
• Assist Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed during emergencies or special events at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
