As a Security Officer Proactive Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming campus atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, and bring agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity to each shift.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities across an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate campus contacts and/or first responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours activity by providing directions, assisting with traffic and pedestrian flow, and addressing routine security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
