Security Officer Temple Bike Patrol Job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As a Security Guard Full Time Bicycle Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support access control operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and policy violations according to established procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
