As a Part Time Unarmed University Security Officer in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients on a leading university's campus. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, building access procedures, and reporting of suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate campus resources and/or emergency responders.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
