Security Officer Visitor Access Control Job in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Security Officer Visitor Access Control in PHOENIX, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment by managing access, greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, monitoring security-related activity, and responding to inquiries or incidents. Your customer-focused communication and attention to detail will support a secure workplace. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution front desk while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain a professional front desk presence while assisting with access control, visitor directions, and other assigned administrative support functions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
