Security Officer - Warehouse Afternoons Job in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Afternoons in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage visitor check-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
- Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access concerns, and security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
