As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for customers and employees. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your professionalism and strong communication skills will support positive customer interactions. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing conflict resolution skills as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other undesirable activity.
• Document incidents and observations accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement as necessary to address security-related matters.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations while on patrol, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or assisting customers.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
