Security Officer Access Integrity Job in Plant City, Florida

As a Security Officer Access Integrity in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for employees, vendors, and deliveries. Your visible presence and professional communication will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Control vehicle access at gates and loading areas by checking identification, shipment documentation, and authorization in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
