As a Security Officer Access Control in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site access for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential verification, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted and sensitive areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for security-related concerns, access issues, and policy violations within an industrial chemical environment.
- Support truck, vehicle, and personnel screening processes in accordance with site policies, maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required security-related documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
