Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver Job in Polkton, North Carolina

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support orderly operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will engage professionally with staff and visitors while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report irregular conditions.
- Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
