Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This driving post calls for strong communication and customer service while supporting daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a dynamic environment.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited items, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
- Support staff, visitors, and/or the public by giving directions, communicating clearly during routine and unusual events, and following escalation procedures when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
