Security Officer Access Management

As a Security Officer Access Management in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role blends strong customer service and communication with a caring, agile, and reliable approach. Working as part of a team, you will support daily operations with integrity while creating a professional and welcoming experience for employees and visitors.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to offices, data-sensitive areas, and other restricted spaces.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related issues within the location.
- Support badge administration, visitor processing, package screening protocols, and escort procedures while maintaining accurate logs and professional interactions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
