Security Officer - Logistics Site

As a Security Officer - Logistics Site in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access activities while maintaining a visible presence. This role offers the chance to provide strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable security-related support as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with site-specific procedures and access protocols.
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, screening requirements, and site policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Monitor entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and other assigned posts to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting conditions, documenting observations, and communicating security-related concerns according to post instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
