As a Security Officer Entry Control in PORT HUENEME, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this role, you will remain visible, use computer and/or tablet systems, and help address security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and help to deter unauthorized entry involving pedestrians, vendors, and/or vehicles.
- Document visitor activity, maintain accurate access records, and communicate security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and appropriate escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, and perimeter areas, noting potential security-related issues and reporting maintenance and/or operational concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
