As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting hospital staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and screen employees, patients, and visitors entering the healthcare facility, following site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct temperature checks and/or health screenings as directed by the location's policies.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the healthcare location.
  • Report incidents, unusual activities, and/or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence at designated screening points to help to deter inappropriate behavior and promote adherence to health and security-related protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity is required.
  • Applicants must be able to work in hospital environments that include exposure to morgue operations.
  • Applicants must have required vaccinations for hospital settings.
  • Applicants must be able to safely restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
