Security Officer Badge Check Patrol

As a Security Officer Badge Check Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, integrity, and an agile approach to daily campus operations.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or concerns according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions that may vary by assignment.
- Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or unusual behavior.
- Support campus operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
