Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. You will welcome guests, manage access control, and assist with security-related inquiries, all while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter incidents and supports a positive experience for visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Communicate and collaborate with building management, tenants, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters and daily operations.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and relevant information according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
