As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a vital government location. In this access control position, you will be responsible for monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding site protocols. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Assist with monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals as needed while upholding security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders if required during emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
