What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and support a professional environment for everyone at the location.
- Support emergency and medical-related response procedures by communicating clearly with staff and first responders and following post orders during urgent situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
- A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
