- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying access permissions, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns in a timely manner and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
