As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to de-escalate situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, including transit-related areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and to monitor for suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, checking credentials or authorizations as required.
  • Communicate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Prepare incident reports and document observations or actions taken during patrols and/or responses.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty, keeping watch for hazards or unusual activity relevant to a government transit environment.
  • Participate in regular training sessions provided by Allied Universal to maintain readiness for emergency response and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
