As a Security Guard - - Armed Government Facility - Full Time in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This is an armed and driving position, requiring you to operate vehicles as part of your patrol duties. You will engage with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Provide customer service to individuals at the location, responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the government facility.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual activity, security-related breaches, or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with location personnel and/or law enforcement as required to address security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations in a government-controlled environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and applicants must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements for driving positions.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
