Security Officer Hospital Entry Screening Job in Rancho Mirage, California

As a Security Officer Hospital Entry Screening in Rancho Mirage, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Screener, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff, support access screening procedures, and provide exceptional customer service and communication in a dynamic medical setting. You will maintain a professional, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established visitor access, identification, and health screening protocols.
- Monitor entry points and assist with directing patients and visitors to appropriate departments, waiting areas, and resources.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals.
- Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
