As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a healthcare location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and respond to incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Your presence will contribute to a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in a healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions and provide assistance related to security-related matters.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms while adhering to all protocols and regulations for armed security-related posts in a healthcare setting.
• Support Allied Universal management and the client by following all company and client policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
