As a Security Officer Truck Gate in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and help support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. In this access control role, you will remain visible, document activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in daily operations.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, production spaces, and/or facility grounds.
- Document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity, maintain required logs, and communicate access-related concerns or unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support for emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and/or the perimeter to help to identify security-related issues and report maintenance, lighting, or entry control concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
